What information do I need to place a table pad order?
Table and leaf measurements, OR your table manufacturer and model number if you have it. You will also need to choose the colors for the vinyl top and suede bottom.
How do I measure my table?
- Only the flat potion of the top should be measured (do not include any bevels, slanted or rounded edges).
- Use a flexible steel tape measure only, and measure to the nearest 1/16”.
- Measure the width of the table.
- Measure the length of the table WITHOUT THE LEAVES.
- Measure the width of the leaves.
- If your table has rounded corners or other curved lines, we will send you a free pattern kit with simple instructions (call us first, since we probably have your pattern on file).

How long will it take to receive my pads?
From the time we have all the information needed for the order, delivery takes about three weeks.
Please note that we can deliver your pads in much less time for Thanksgiving, Christmas or any other date at no extra charge, as long as UPS Ground will get it there in time.
2nd Day Air and Overnight shipping are available at an extra charge if necessary.
Regular orders during November and December may take longer than usual so we can accommodate customers with strict deadlines.
Why do you sell McKay pads versus another brand, and why are they the right choice for me?
In 1989, the owner of the Touch Up Artistry of New York, Inc. (and a furniture craftsman), wanted to help his customers preserve their furniture with a high quality pad. He had seen McKay pads over the years, and knew that they had a great reputation, but wanted to compare them to other brands before he offered them to his clients. He ordered samples form different factories, dissected them, and confirmed that McKay was superior. We continue representing McKay because they continue to offer great quality at a fair price, just as they have since 1911.
What if the pad doesn’t fit when it’s delivered?
Over the years we’ve successfully developed safeguards to make sure this is doesn’t happen, but if it does, and the mistake is ours, we will remake the pad and redeliver at no charge to you. If the mistake is yours, we will remake the pads one time at no additional cost to you.
What is your warranty?
We will repair or replace, at our option, any section (or sections) of your pad that failed during normal use, due to defects in materials or workmanship without any charge.
Touch Up Artistry of New York, Inc. will assume shipping and handling charges, to us and back to you, within 30 days of pad delivery only.
Warranty is to the original owner and is non-transferable.

Do you have pads in stock?
No. All of our pads are custom made for each order.
Do you offer an in-home measuring service?
Yes, we offer in-home measuring in Nassau County, Western Suffolk County and parts of Queens, NY.
Where do you ship to?
The Continental U.S., Canada, Alaska and Hawaii.
How much are shipping charges, and how will the pads be shipped?
Shipping is FREE on all orders in the Contiguous US over $125.00.
Shipping charges DO apply to all Canada*, Alaska and Hawaii orders.
*GST and Brokerage fees are NOT included in our UPS Ground charges. You will be billed separately for them.
All products are shipped by UPS.
What is your return policy?
Since each pad is custom made and has no resale value we do not exchange or give refunds. Of course, if there is shipping damage, notify us immediately so we can file a claim and re-make the damaged section(s). Factory defects etc. are covered by our warranty.
Can you make pads for items other than dining tables?
Certainly. We make pads for buffets, cocktail tables, conference tables, desks, etc.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, you can purchase a gift certificate for whoever you like. Call us for details.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and personal checks.
Is it OK to leave my pads on all the time?
If you need to leave the pads on the surface for extended periods, we recommend that you remove them for a day, every couple weeks, so that your finish can breathe, and moisture doesn’t build up.
How should the table pads be stored?
Ideally, they should either lay flat or standing straight up (not on steep angle).
